According to Fr. Arseny, it is a pious practice to read a chapter each day from the four Gospels: St. Matthew, St. Mark, St. Luke, and St. John the Theologian. There are 89 chapters in all; and so one can read through the Gospels four times each year.

I propose to do just that -- and to record the reflections and study notes that I derive in this blog. Of course, I've already missed the first quarter of this year (2004); and the start of the second quarter; and, with Holy Week and Pascha just around the corner... well, the posting may be inconsistent at first. By the grace of God, and to His glory, it will get better!
